ReplyDeleteYou've been focusing on Flash games so far, which are free, and emphasize gameplay. But if you're looking for something new, read on. When you have broadband access, I recommend browsing the following sites for some similar content:
1. www.renai.us -- It's an archive of free visual novels written in English. Some of the content here has simulation or RPG style gameplay. You'll find quite a few visual novels, which are stories (not games) with art and music.
2. www.hanakogames.com -- A team of people who are selling their cute and romantic games for $10-20. Each game is in English. Demos are free.
3. www.insani.org -- A site which contains translated versions of several freeware visual novels.
Thanks for the kind words and the websites! I'll check them out when I can. I've also recently discovered a cache of various v-novels on the Lemma Soft forums. :) It's slow going, but at least it's going. *g*
